VERY-BEST VISIBLE LIGHT CURE COMPOSITE MATERIAL:

Visible Light Cure Composite Dental Restorative Material VERY-BEST is based on BIS-GMA resin and inorganic filler particles with average particle diameter of I 40 microns. It is a very esthetic, strongly radiopaque, highly filled and of very high strength, excellent color stability, abrasion resistance and high gloss polishability It is recommended for use in Class 111 and Class V restoration and limited use in Class I and Class IV restorations.

APPLICATION

1. Isolation
Rubber Dam is the recommended method of isolation.

2. Cavity Preparation
Clean the tooth with pumice powder and water prior to preparation. Prepare the cavity with minimal toolh reduction. Margins should have a slight bevel placed in the enamel to increase the surface area for greater bond strength

3. Pulp Protection
Cavity floor of deep excavation should be covered with a thin layer of hard setting Calcium Hydroxide material.

4. Enamel Etching
Apply etchanl onto the enamel. Be careful to cover the bevels and keep acid off of dentin. Leave the etchant in place for 20 seconds. On primary teeth and teeth high in fluoride a 90-120 second etch is recommended. Rinse for 20 seconds with water. Dry with air that is oil and water free. The etched enamel should have a chalky white appearance.

5. Prime Surfaces/Application
Apply a thin uniform coating of light cure bonding resin onto etched tooth surface and cure with a light curing unit for 15-20 seconds. Ascertain the tooth shade and select the appropriate VERY-BEST shade Apply VERY-BEST light cure composite paste in the selected shade. Place it using a non-metallic instrument. Transparent matrix strips may be used.

6. Curing Time
Cure for 40 seconds in case of lighter shade (Al, A2, CI)
Cure for 60 seconds in case of darker shade (A3, A3.5, B2, B3. B4, C3, D4)

7. Finishing
Contour with fine diamonds, stones or burs. Polish to high gloss with disc or rubber point. Inter­proximal linishing is accomplished by line grit finishing strips.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

  • It is essential that the etched enamel is not contaminated by anything. If contamination occurs, re-etch, rinse with water and dry as above Avoid etchant contact with oral soft tissues and skin. If accidental contact occurs, flush immediately with copious amount of water Seek medical attention in case of contact with the eyes
  • The shelf life of VERY-BEST Light Cure Composite is 3 years when stored al 23°F (-5°C)., and when handled property Always place cap back on syringe immediately after dispensing to avoid curing of composite material by light
